Some of the works in this collection have travelled quite a bit through exhibitions and international portrait competitions, into special publications, and, in one rather unusual case, all the way to an archive on the Moon. Take a look at each painting to discover its individual story.

Secret Crushes is a miniature crossover series featuring some of my favorite characters from film and television secretly fangirling over other iconic characters.

Each portrait reveals an unexpected admiration: a hidden obsession, an unlikely role model, or a guilty pleasure worn proudly on a T-shirt, tattoo, or accessory. These playful encounters create impossible crossovers between different stories, genres, and universes.

The series explores the idea that even the most memorable characters are fans of someone else. After all, every legend has a secret crush!

Part tribute, part parody, and part love letter to pop culture, Secret Crushes invites viewers to look closer, connect the references, and discover the surprising relationships hidden in plain sight.

This series delves into the imperfections of human nature through the biblical and timeless lens of the Seven Capital Sins. Once seen as moral flaws, I embrace this theme in my work without judgment. Each character serves as an allegory, embodying the rich tapestry of humanity and the complex emotions that pulse within each painting. The figures often challenge the viewer, locking eyes and demanding reflection, reminding us that these feelings and experiences are integral to our existence - no exceptions.

A miniature tribute across time

In Groupiverse, music becomes a thread that stitches together decades,

personalities, and cultural memory. These ten miniature portraits celebrate icons who

shaped the visual and emotional language of their eras ,paired with the artists whose

music moved the world, and continues to. The pairings are not literal , they’re

evocative. A spark. A dialogue between energy, attitude, and aesthetic. What

matters isn’t whether they ever wore these shirts or badges , but how naturally the

connection flows: a wink across decades, a shared rhythm, a kindred spark.

Groupiverse is not about nostalgia or fantasy, but resonance. It’s a love letter to

music’s power to unify, to inspire, and to live through image, sound, and imagination.

This is a Venus waiting for another little Venus to arrive. The presence of beauty and feminine energy is doubled, a power held in a single body. The gender is revealed through presence itself, a quiet declaration of what is to come, discretely shown in the palm of her hand. 

Wrapped in red, she radiates strength, flesh, and passion. She is proud and self-confident, not performing power, simply inhabiting it, yet challenging. Two Venuses, one body, one force.

This Is Not a Tragedy reimagines three of Shakespeare’s most iconic tragic heroines—Lady Macbeth, Ophelia, and Desdemona—through a new lens. Each of them, often defined by fragility, guilt, or victimhood, is given a different fate—one that rejects outdated notions of powerless women and instead embraces self-awareness, agency, and resilience.

My Lady Macbeth doesn’t waste time obsessing over imaginary bloodstains. She’s pragmatic. She slips on disposable gloves, casts off guilt like an old habit, and fully enjoys the power of the crown.

Ophelia, no longer a fragile girl surrendering to fate, is now serene and in control, floating with ease, well-prepared to survive an unexpected dip.

Desdemona, once trapped in a web of jealousy and deception, refuses to be a passive victim—she takes charge, destroying the pillow meant to silence her.

This series is about rewriting narratives, flipping tragedy into empowerment. Because this time, the story doesn’t end in despair. This time, this is not a tragedy!

These miniature postcard-sized paintings invite you to join my playful escapade through iconic artworks, where I step into the shoes (and stylish ensembles) of some of the greatest artists’ muses. It’s a delightful dance of fantasy and whimsy, where I get to frolic in the settings of renowned masterpieces, all while sporting a wink and a smile.

In this series, art history meets a bit of humor, reminding us that sometimes the best way to appreciate great works is to imagine ourselves as part of them. So come along and enjoy this light-hearted tribute to creativity and self-expression—because who wouldn’t want to swap places with a masterpiece for a day?

The “Alter Egos” series is a vibrant exploration of identity and transformation, where each character dons an extravagant wig and embodies the essence of a superhero. Set against a surreal black background, these whimsical figures reflect the multifaceted nature of self-expression.

 Each piece features a unique insect, symbolizing various aspects of personality and transformation, inviting viewers to interpret their meanings.

This series plays with the idea of cross-dressing—a playful game of becoming someone entirely different, encouraging a deeper understanding of our desires to break free from societal norms.

“Alter Egos” invites you to reflect on your own transformations and the masks we wear in our daily lives, challenging the boundaries of identity and inviting you to revel in the freedom of being someone else, even if just for a moment.

This time Lorena has chosen Drag Queens to be the protagonists of the series ‘ In her shoes’  posing feminine clichés with a twist. From ‘Femme Fatale", via ‘Crazy Cat Lady’ to ‘Barbie Doll’ and beyond. They are going to shake, twist and escape the stereotypes that they are depicting. They will bring uniqueness, humor, self-irony and extra superpower to Lorena’s vision on what femininity is.

Drag Queens almost per definition looked everywhere to find their feminine energy more than most women. They also found the genre to express the very colorful and glamorous sides of femininity they have found: Drag.

The series involves professional Drag Queens gracefully cooperating in this project. The character each one of them depicts is the result of a one-on-one creative session between Lorena and each specific Queen. After those, nothing was left to chance. The character was designed and studied in every detail. The handpicked props, dresses, accessories and make-up for the photoshoot were chosen with her personality in mind.

It’s up to the spectator of the final paintings to discover how her or his inner femininity cheers watching them. Do you want to be walking In Her Shoes?
